| Description |
English: Bridge over the Narrows, Lough Oughter Of all the loughs in the Irish lakeland centred on County Cavan, Lough Oughter is one of the largest and most extraordinary. Extending to 1464 hectares, it comprises at least a dozen separate arms in an elaborately convoluted pattern determined by the drumlin topography. The River Erne passes through the lough before entering Upper Lough Erne. The lough is prime coarse angling territory.
This view is of the footbridge which crosses one of the narrow points on the lough, within the Killykeel Forest Park. |
