Description
日本語: 大肚溪橋梁。大肚溪は源を中央山脈に發し臺中州蕃地を過ぎ幾多の支流を合し台中と彰化の中間を流れて海に注ぐ長さ一〇〇粁に及ぶ臺灣としては比較的長江に屬するもので下流地方は臺灣で最も早くから文化，產業の中心をなして居る。寫真の上流二橋は本溪に架せられて居る縱貫鐵通橋梁で，下流は縱貫道路大肚橋である。大肚橋は大正九年十二月着工し同十一年十二月完成せるもので橋長四〇米，工費約七十萬圓を費したが本橋の架設に依つて臺中、彰化間に自動車の便が開け交通頗る頻繁となつた。（戸水昇，臺灣總督府交通局參事）
