English: Bridleway, part of Jack Mytton Way, in Winter This view taken from almost the same spot as the first photograph for this square, shows the difference in vegetation that Winter brings. Now the branches are quite bare. The snow has melted here, but the bridleway ascends quite steeply and higher up the snow was still to be seen.
This bridleway is now part of The Jack Mytton Way, named after a local character of long ago. At this point it joins a very quiet and narrow public road leading to the tiny hamlet of Blackford. |
