| Description |
English: Bridleway through coppiced hornbeams, Copse Wood, Ruislip. Looking west, with the A4180 road at the end of the track. These are mixed deciduous woods which have had oak trees for timber and hornbeams growing under them to keep the oaks straight. The hornbeams are coppiced about every 20 years to supply small timber and poles. The woods are a National Nature Reserve, managed by the London Borough of Hillingdon. |
