Español: BRILLO Y MAGNITUD ESTELAR.
La MAGNITUD es una progresión Aritmética (0, 1, 2, 3, 4 …) su origen se remonta a Hiparco de Rodas (S. II a. C.). El BRILLO es una progresión Geométrica o función en base a la Magnitud (0, -2.51, -6.31, -15.85, -39.81 …) donde cada número expresa cuantas veces es menos brillante (en negativo), una estrella comparada con la magnitud 0 (cero). NOTA: la función siempre da como resultado números positivos. Cuando se trata de magnitudes negativas, el brillo será mayor comparado con estrellas de magnitud 0 (cero). Cuando las magnitudes son positivas, el brillo será menor (en negativo), también con respecto a estrellas de magnitud 0 (cero). Por ejemplo, estrellas de magnitud 4 son 39,82 veces menos brillantes que las de magnitud 0 (cero). Una estrella de magnitud 5 es 2,51 veces menos brillante que una de magnitud 4 y 6,31 veces menos brillante que una de magnitud 3. |
