Description

A research aircraft to investigate airframe kinetic heating at high mach numbers this aircraft, serial No. XF926 made 51 test flights in the early 1960s but never achieved its intended perfomance due to the high rate of fuel consumption by the Gyron Junior engines. The aircraft is preserved at the Royal air Force Museum, Cosford.
