English: A Great Western Railway postcard of the Lord of the Isles, a broad gauge steam locomotive. It was built in 1851 and withdrawn in 1884 but not cut up until 1906. It was entered in the Great Exhibiiton of 1851 carrying the name Charles Russell) and, after withdrawal, was exhibited at Edinburgh, Chicago and at earl's Court in London. |
