British Railways Brush Type 2 A1A-A1A class 31/1 diesel-electric locomotive numbers 31201 of Immingham TMD and 31181 of Tinsley TMD pass through Brocklesby station on the Up Main line with the 11:50 (TuThO) Kingsbury to Lindsey Oil Refinery (6E54). Thursday 23rd July 1987

Brocklesby Junction signal box is located on the Up platform at Brocklesby station, and is a Great Central Railway Type 5 design which opened in 1914 fitted with a 96 lever Great Central Railway frame, replacing an 1880s-built signal box located a few yards nearer to Scunthorpe. The signal box was built and the lever frame manufactured by McKenzie & Holland, and was listed as a Grade II listed building on 26th May 1995. By July 1987 the signal box diagram showed the named as being Brocklesby but the TEW SM48 entrance-exit panel that replaced the lever frame on 27th April 1998 showed box named as Brocklesby Junction again

The signal box carries a pair of British Rail corporate identity printed design nameplate

Up against Brocklesby Road over bridge is a London and North Eastern Railway two doll right hand bracket carried on an all welded main stem which carries (left to right) 90 signal (down main second home to down goods) and 92 signal (down main second home)
