| Description |
English: Altar from Broddetorp parish church, Västergötland, Sweden. Made of gilt copper on wooden panel in the 12th century. It may have been commissioned during the time of Bengt the Good (c. 1160 - 1190), bishop of Skara and was probalbly made in the, at that time, danish town Lund. On display at the Swedish Museum of National Antiquities in Stockholm.
Svenska: Broddetorpsaltaret, eller Broddetorpsantemensalet, från Broddetorps kyrka i Västergötland. Altaret är tillverkat av förgylld kopparplåt på träpanel. Arbetet är beställt från Lund, kanske under biskop Bengt den Godes tid i Skara (ca. 1160 - 1190). Utställt på Historiska museet i Stockholm. |
