English: Brookfoot from Brookfoot Lane, Southowram. Brookfoot is where the Red Beck crosses Elland Road before entering the River Calder (actually it enters the canal and then spills over a weir to the river see other photos). There was a canal wharf and a Dyeworks here, so it was s focus for housing development. There is also a former co-op shop and the Red Rooster Real-ale pub. |
