Summary

Description
English: Brooklands banking The Brooklands circuit was the first purpose-built racing circuit in Europe (in the world?) and employed steep concrete bankings all round, so that high speeds could be sustained for long periods. An airfield was built in the centre. In the Second World War factories were built across the track, preventing it returning to use. It is now a museum to racing cars and aeroplanes. Modesty forbids me telling you who is standing in the shot providing scale.
