            Takamine Acoustic Guitar
                       EAN-70, 2005
             Designed by Michelle Holme
Painted by Michelle Holme and Ian Cuttler[1]
                   Collection of Bruce Springsteen
This is one of six guitars that Bruce Springsteen commissioned
for the Seeger Sessions Tour. He asked Michelle Holme, an art
director at Sony/BMG Music to come up with a design for the
guitar. Holme presented Springsteen with six designs, expecting
him to only pick a couple. He wanted all six. Springsteen
contributed St. Christopher medals and milagros, small
pendants and icons, and Holme, along with her friend and fellow
artist Ian Cuttler, painted the guitars. Installed the pendants and
gave the instruments a distressed appearance. Using the same
tuning as for “The Promised Land,” Bruce Springsteen used this
guitar to perform the Devils and Dust songs “Long Time Comin,”
“Leah” and “Mana's Bed” on the Seeger Sessions tour.
