editDescriptionBud Uanna A TEAM INTELLIGENTSIA Operation Storm by John J. Geoghegan 2013 Crown Publishers New York p.4.jpg |
English: In Operation Storm 2013 by Crown Publishers New York author John J. Geoghegan describes the discovery of the Japanese I-400 Class Submarines. 400 feet long they were an underwater aircraft carrier, could launch 3 planes which were painted to look like United States aircraft and could travel one and one half times around the world. Captured at the end of World War II by the United States and then sunk after they were studied. They were considered too advanced. The United States would not have anything like them for 15 years and then the submarine we produced used some of the I-400's design features. Author Geoghegan does not say they would be used as part of an Atomic Strike force but why build this type of submarine just to launch three planes from each sub. And why keep this secret all these years? |
