| Description |
English: Buildings at Drake Circus, Plymouth. A view from Charles Street across the former roundabout.
On the left is 552382, originally to be called the Reynolds building after the locally-born painter Sir Joshua Reynolds, and under construction when the vice-chancellor died on New Year's Day, 2007, after which it was named after him. Designed by the Danish firm Henning Larsen Architects, it straddles a gridline; to the west (away from the camera) it crosses into SX4754. On the right is a much altered fragment of Victorian Plymouth, with the Roundabout pub on the ground floor. |
