English: Bullholme Lock Three pleasure boats wait for the water level to rise as they pass from the River Aire into Castleford Cut on the Aire & Calder Navigation. On weekdays the electrically-powered locks are worked by staff in the control cabin on the right to cater for big freight-carrying boats, at weekends the boat crews have to do the job themselves. |
