Щормово въздействие върху трета буна на варненския плаж през февруари 2012 г. Изключително неефективен метод на брегоукрепване, при който плажа се засипва с камъни и по време на вълнови щорм поема цялата енергия на бурята. Концепцията за този тип брегоукрепване от 80-те години на 20-ти век се оказа абсолютно неефективен, тъй като освен че изяжда и загрозява плажа, натоварва данъкоплатците с постоянни разходи по възстановяване на щетите. Очевидно дебелият пласт бетон не е спасил буната от разрушаване. На заден план се вижда започнатото бетониране на ската от „Холдинг Варна“ преди застроянането на варненския бряг.
