For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Die große Winter-Olympiade in St. Moritz! Erste Aufnahmen von unserem nach St. Moritz entsandten Sonder-Bild-Berichterstatter! Patrouillenlauf des Militärs, anläßlich der Olympiade in St. Moritz, bei welchem die norwegische Mannschaft siegreich blieb. Die deutsche Mannschaft belegte den 5. Platz.
Die deutsche Mannschaft, welche unter Führung von Leutnant Raithel an dem olympischen Militär-Patrouillenlauf teilnahm und als Fünfte durchs Ziel ging. Die Leistung der deutschen Mannschaft ist in Anbetracht, dass die Gegner-Länder entstammten, in welchem der Militär-Skilauf viel länger als bei uns geübt wird, sehr hoch einzuschätzen.
