Magdeburg baut auf.
Für den Wiederaufbau der durch anglo-amerikanische Bomben stark zerstörten Stadt Magdeburg sind im Fünfjahrplan 238 Millionen DM veranschlagt. Alle wertvollen Baudenkmäler Magdeburgs werden restauriert, neue Verwaltungsbauten und Kulturstätten entstehen und riesige Wohnblöcke werden für die Werktätigen nach modernen Gesichtspunkten errichtet.

UBz.: Innerhalb von 4 Monaten wurden diese stattlichen Wohnblocks in der Beimstraße in Magdeburg von der Bau-Union-Mitte errichtet. Teilweise konnten Werktätige schon ihre neuen Wohnungen beziehen.
