For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Rostock, Überseehafen, Frachter, Schlepper ADN-ZB Sindermann 11.7.84-mei - Rostock: Entstanden in der DDR - Von der ersten Hieve zum modernen Seeumschlagsplatz - Seit der ersten Hieve am 30.4.1960 sind im Rostocker Hafen rund 249, 7 Millionen Tonnen Güter umgeschlagen worden. 56 700 Schiffe aus 65 Staaten haben in der Zeit festgemacht. Als "Tor zur Welt" verbindet der Überseehafen Rostock mit 400 Häfen aller Kontinente. Für 173 Schiffe der DDR-Handelsflotte ist er Heimstatt. - siehe auch 1984-2 u. 4N sowie 66 511-2N
