For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Industriearbeiter Maschine bedienend Zentralbild Köhler 27.5.52. Stellungnahmen zur Verordnung der Regierung vom 26.5.52. Die Meinung des Kollegen Brendler vom VEB Kühlautomat in Johannisthal ist folgende: "Die Sabotage- und Terrorakte an der Bonengrenze und in der Deutschen Demokratischen Republik, die von den Kriegshetzern organisiert werden, zeigten klar, dass Adenauer und seine Hintermänner keinen Frieden wollen. Ich aber -und mit mir alle ehrlichen Deutschen- will Frieden. Deshalb halte ich die Verordnung der Regierung zum Schutz der Demarkationslinie für richtig. Ich werde mit allen Kräften durch meine Arbeit zum Schutz unserer Republik beitragen."
