Dresden, Denkmal der Trümmerfrauen Zentralbild Höhne-Pohl 16.10.1952 Das erste Denkmal zu Ehren der Trümmerfrauen in Dresden In Dresden wurde in Anwesenheit zahlreicher verdienter Trümmerfrauen durch Oberbürgermeister Weidauer feierlich ein Denkmal enthüllt, das den Dresdener Trümmerfrauen gewidmet ist. Das 3,15 m hohe Denkmal schuf der Bildhauer Walter Reinhold, es stellt eine Trümmerfrau dar, die in der rechten Hand einen Ziegelputzhammer hält. Das neue Denkmal, das von der Dresdener Stadtverwaltung aufgestellt wurde, ist das erste dieser Art in der Deutschen Demokratischen Republik und erhielt seinen Ehrenplatz vor dem Dresdener Rathaus inmitten gepflegter Grünanlagen.
