For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Gera, Haus der Freundschaft Zentralbild Klein 19.12.1952 Das neue "Haus der Freundschaft" in Gera-Thüringen. Am 15.11.1952 wurde in Gera das neue Haus der Kultur der Sowjetunion, das "Haus der Freundschaft" eingeweiht. Das haus, das zu den schönsten und vorbildlichsten in der Deutschen Demokratischen Republik zählt, ist ein Geschenk der Stadt Gera an die Gesellschaft für Deutsch-Sowjetische Freundschaft. UBz: Eine Leseecke im Clubraum im "Haus der Freundschaft."
