For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Halle/Saale, Ingenieure Spezialwerkstatt Zentralbild Schmiljun 27.2.1953 Zum "Feldzug der strengen Sparsamkeit" Werner Keller und Bernhard Rolke von der MTS-Spezialwerkstatt Halle haben einen Verbesserungsvorschlag ausgearbeitet, der bei Anwendung in der gesamten Volkswirtschaft Millionen Liter Benzin einsparen könne. Beide stellten fest, dass alle Motoren mit einem Benzinüberschuss arbeiteten. Sie veränderten den Lufttrichter und die Düse, wo sie eine Reguliernadel anbrachten, wodurch eine Mengenregulierung mit gleichzeitiger feiner Zerstäubung des Benzins erreicht wird.
