Leipzig, Bachdenkmal, Winter ADN-ZB Gahlbeck 07-07-82 Leipzig: Schöne DDR. Das älteste Bachdenkmal der Messestadt befindet sich am Dittrichring nahe dem Thomaskirchhof und wurde von dem Komponisten Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy gestiftet. Das Sandsteindenkmal zeigt auf Reliefs symbolisch Bachs Tätigkeit als Orgelspieler, Komponist, Lehrer und Kantor. 1843 wurde es enthüllt.
