For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Halle, Silberhöhe, Wohnhochhäuser, Strommast ADN-ZB Lehmann 25.10.82 Halle: Wohnungsbau. Erst vor einem halben Jahr sind die Mieter in den Block 95-96 nahe der Ortschaft Beesen im Neubaugebiet Halle-Silberhöhe eingezogen. Bis zum Jahresende wollen die Arbeiter in diesem größten Wohnungsbaugebiet des Bezirks 3.654 Wohnungen - 10 mehr als geplant - übergeben. Im Januar 1979 wurde die erste Platte gesetzt, heute leben in dem neuen Viertel bereits fast 24.000 Menschen in komfortablen Unterkünften. - siehe 15n - Auch die Gesellschftsbauten sind fertiggestellt oder werden bis Jahresende vollendet, so drei Schulen, eine Turnhalle, drei Kindergärten und -krippen und ein Feierabendheim.
