Woldegk, Begutachtung von Kühen ADN-ZB Bartocha 4.1.83 Bez.Neubrandenburg: Erstmals in der DDR wurden in der zentralen Jungbullenaufzuchtsstation Woldegk zwei aus Embryotransfer hervorgegangene Jungbullen für die Zuchtbenutzung ausgewählt. Beim Embryotransfer wird eine Hochleistungskuh medikamentell so behandelt, daß nicht nur eine, sondern gleichzeitig mehrere befruchtungsfähige Eizellen im Körper reifen. Nach erfolgreicher Besamung werden Embryonen entnommen und einzeln züchterisch weniger wertvollen Rindern zum Austragen des Kalbes "eingepflanzt". Dieses biotechnische Verfahren hatten Wissenschaftler des Forschungszentrums für Tierproduktion Rostock-Dummerstorf planmäßig praxiswirksam gemacht. Die Forschungen bieten die Möglichkeit, neben einer hohen Vermehrungsrate leistungsstarker Vatertiere durch künstliche Besamung auch von Stammkühen mehr als einen Nachkommen im Jahr zu erzeugen.
