For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Battin, Tierschau für Kühe ADN-ZB Weisflog 16.7.84 Bez. Cottbus: Tierschau - Ergebnisse des erfolgreichen Wirkens der Züchter waren auf einer Tierschau in Battin, Kreis Jessen, zu sehen. Bei der Veranstaltung wurden 90 Hochleistungsrinder aus den fünf Betrieben des Rinderstammzuchtzentrum Cottbus bewertet. Der stellvertretende Stammzuchtmeister der LPG "Karl Marx" Seyda kann auf diese Dauerleistungskuh stolz sein. Sie ist 11 Jahre alt und gab bisher 66 850 Liter Milch. Das entspricht einer Füllung von acht Milchtankfahrzeugen.
