For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Wismar, Mathias-Thesen-Werft, Trockendock ADN-ZB Sindermann 24.10.84 Bez. Rostock: Höhere Stabilität. Die Werktätigen der Wismarer Mathias-Thesen-Werft übergeben in diesem Jahr acht Schiffe, darunter Mehrzweckfrachter, Kühltransporter und RO-RO-Schiffe, an die Auftraggeber. In Großsektionen und in den Schiffskörper werden Profile zur Versteifung und zur Formgebung eingebaut. Zum Bearbeiten der dafür benötigten Profile entwickelte der Rationalisierungsmittelbau der Werft Anlagen für eine neue Profil-Fließlinie. Ein Teilabschnitt hat nun mit der Produktion begonnen. Damit haben sich die Wertfkollektive Voraussetzungen geschaffen, künftig auch größere Schiffe nach modernen Technologien zu bauen.
