For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Rostock, Überseehafen, Güterzug, Eisenbahner ADN-ZB Sindermann 30.11.84-pra - Rostock: Eisenbahner mit hohen Verpflichtungen - Die Eisenbahner des Bahnhofes Rostock-Seehafen wollen im ansteigenden Jahresendverkehr dafür sorgen, daß alle hier ankommenden Güter schnell ins Binnenland gelangen oder für den Export bereitstehen. Rund 95 Prozent der im Rostocker Überseehafen umgeschlagenen Importgüter treten per Schiene die Weiterreise ins Binnenland oder zu Transitpartnern an. Zu dem Bahnhof gehören neben mehr als 900 Weichen rund 220 Kilometer der Sowjetunion beladen, verläßt der Zug den Überseehafen. Drei bis vier solche Züge werden pro Schicht von der starken Rangierlok aus dem Hafen gezogen. - siehe auch 1984-1130-6N -
