For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Rostock, Hafen, Eisbrecher, Schlepper, Winter ADN-ZB Sindermann 11.1.85 Rostock: Umschlag bei Eis und Schnee-Eisdicken bis zu 15 Zentimeter Stärke werden gegenwärtig auf den Seewasserstraßen an der DDR-Ostseeküste gemessen. Der Einsatz eisbrechender Schlepper der Bagger-, Bugsier-, und Bergungsreederei wird von der zentralen Eisbrecherleitstelle des Seefahrtsamtes der DDR koordiniert, um in- und ausländischen Schiffen die Zufahrt zu den Seehäfen, so zum Rostocker Überseehafen zu ermöglichen und einen stabilen Güterumschlag zu gewährleisten. -siehe auch 1985-0111-14N-
