For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
LPG Polkendorf, Getreideernte ADN-ZB Kluge 24.7.85 Bez. Leipzig: Ernte. Jede Stunde günstigen Wetters nutzen die Genossenschaftsbauern der LPG Polkendorf, um die Wintergerste schnell und in guter Qualität unter Dach und Fach zu bringen. Im Bezirk Leipzig wurde diese Getreideart auf rund 51 500 Hektar angebaut. In den nächsten Tagen wird mit der Ernte von Roggen begonnen, der im sächsischen Bezirk von 13 300 Hektar einzubringen ist. Auf den Feldern der Republik reifen in diesem Sommer Getreide, Ölfrüchte und Vermehrungskulturen auf etwa 2,8 Millionen Hektar. Für die Ernte dieser Halmfrüchte stehen den LPG und VEG 16.000 Mähdrescher drei verschiedener Typen sowie Strohhäcksler und -pressen zur Verfügung. -siehe auch 1985-0724/21 und 22N-
