ADN-ZB Lehmann 24.7.86 Halle: Städtejubiläum. Seit 1913 schmückt die Plastik des "Esels der auf Rosen geht" den Brunnen des Alten Marktes. Wohl jeder Einheimische kennt die Sage, nach der im frühen Mittelalter ein Mühlknappe seinen mit einem Mehlsack beladenen Esel zum Alten Markt trieb, als die Hallenser die Wegstrecke mit Rosen bestreut hatten, um so Kaiser Otto festlich zu empfangen. Die unbekümmerte Haltung des Eselstreibers amüsierte die Städter so, daß sie die Episode verewigen ließen. - siehe auch 1986-0724-7-9n - |
