For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Friedensfahrt, Mannschaft der DDR ADN-ZB Deutsche Demokratische Republik 27.5.87 rü. 40. Internationale Friedensfahrt - DDR-Mannschaft siegt Das DDR-Sextett mit Jens Heppner, Uwe Raab, Marie Kummer, Olaf Ludwig, Mannschaftskapitän Thomas Barth und Amateur-Straßenradweltmeister Uwe Ampler (von links) gewann die Mannschaftswertung der 40. Internationalen Radfernfahrt für den Frieden "Berlin-Prag-Warschau". Uwe Ampler wurde außderdem souveräner Gesamteinzelsieger (Gelbes Trikot) und erkämpfte auch das Grüne Trikot des besten Bergfahrers.
