For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Meißen, Albrechtsburg, Dom ADN-ZB Häßler 15.11.88 Bez. Dresden: Meißen-An diesen Blick von der Freiheit zum Burgberg mit seinen dominanten Bauten werden sich viele Meißen-Besucher erinnern. Die Burg wurde bereits im Jahre 928 gegründet. Auch die Stadt mit ihren reizvollen engen Gassen ist alt. Die erste urkundliche Erwähnung erfolgte 1295. Tausende Touristen besuchen alljährlich die Stadt, um die Porzellan-Manufaktur und die mittelalterliche Stadtanlage zu besichtigen.
