For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Berlin, Fauler See, Reinigung ADN-ZB Roeske 22.2.89 Berlin: Wahlvorbereitung - Fauler See - Eine 0,8 bis 4 m starke Faulschlammschicht wird zur Zeit aus dem Faulen See in Weißensee abgesaugt. Mitarbeiter der Wasserwirtschaft nutzen dazu einen Schwimmbagger, der eigentlich für kleine Gräben und Kanäle hergetellt wurde. So erhalten die Fische, die durch Verschmutzung des Wassers bereits von neun auf zwei Arten verringert wurden, wieder neuen Lebensraum. Auch viele andere Maßnahmen, festgelegt in einm 15-Punkte-Plan, werden zur Gesundung des Naturschutzgebietes verwirklicht. Dies geschieht auf Initiative des Abgeordneten Dr. Eberhard Uecker (DBD) und des Freundeskreises Fauler See beim Kulturbund. (siehe 8 und 9N)
