ADN-ZB Weißflog 7.3.89 Cottbus: Wahl- Mehr als 87 % der Cotbuser Bürger wohnen in eine seit der Gründung der DDR neugebauten oder modernisierten Wohnung. In der vergangenen Wahlperiode netstanden in der über 800jährigen Stadt nehr als 5.000 neue Wohnungen. In diesem Zeitraum wurden 925 Millionen Mark, das sind 50 % des Haushaltsvolumens, für die Lösung der Wohnungsfrage ausgegeben. Im Juni 1984 wurde mit dem Wendische Viertel der Grundstein für die Gestaltung der Innenstadt gelegt. Unmittelbar neben dem historischen Altmarkt entstanden Häuser die speziell für den innerstädtischen Wohnungsbau vom WBK Cottbus entwickelten Typ "INB 80". Abwechslungsreiche Fassaden unterschiedlicher Höhe und Länge mit Keramikelementen und Erkern, sowie Geschäften und Gaststätten in der Erdgeschoßzone kennzeichnen die Bauten. - siehe auch 1989-0307-13N |
