Berlin, Prinz-Albrecht-Palais, Blick in den Staatssalon.
1737-1739 ließ Baron Mathieu Vernezobre de Laurieux das Gebäude errichten. Nach mehrmaligem Funktions- und Eigentümerwechsel ging es 1830 in den Besitz des Prinzen Albrecht über, der es 1830-1832 durch Karl Friedrich Schinkel umbauen ließ. Unter der Leitung von Adolph Lohse wurden 1860-1862 die Innenräume teilweise umgestaltet. Auch nach der Novemberrevolution blieb das Gebäude Eigentum der Hohenzollern.
1928-1931 mietete die Reichsregierung das Palais als Gästehaus, z. B. für die Könige von Afghanistan (1928) und Ägypten (1929). Seit 1934 nutzte die SS das Gebäude, u. a. auch als Dienstsitz des Chefs des Sicherheitsdienstes der SS (seit September 1939).
Während des zweiten Weltkrieges wurde das Gebäude stark beschädigt, seine Überreste 1949 abgerissen.
