For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
ADN-Förster-14.5.1990-Magdeburg: Der Altpapierberg im Zwischenlager Magdeburg-Rothensee wird immer größer, denn VEB Sero kann den Sekundärrohstoff nicht mehr im vollen Umfang an die DDR-Papierindustrie absetzen. Die Ankaufpreise fallen, wodurch wiederum die Altstoffhändler in die roten Zahlen kommen. Die Folge: zahlreiche Annahmestellen schließen. Am Ende der Spirale bleibt der Normalverbraucher auf seinen Zeitungsstapeln sitzen.
