For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. ADN-ZB-Hirschberger-23.8.1990-Erfurt-Denkmalschutz- Das größte Flächendenkmal der DDR ist der historische Stadtkern von Erfurt. Erstmals erwähnt wurde der Ort im Jahre 742, als von einer Bistumsgründung in "Erphesfurt" berichtet wurde. Im 14. Jahrhundert erreichte die seit 1250 selbstverwaltete Stadt ihre höchste Blüte. Während in jüngster Vergangenheit nur einige "Vorzeigestellen" im Stadtkern rekonstruiert wurden, soll die Sanierung nun - auch mit Hilfe Bundesdeutscher Partner - umfassend erfolgen. - Luftbildnummer LFD 802-90. |
