For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. 17.12.1990-fd Berlin: Unglück-Wegen einer Zugkollision am frühen Montagmorgen auf der Fernbahn Ostkreuz-Treptower Park blieb der S-Bahnverkehr im Berliner Osten auf einigen Strecken bis zum frühen Nachmittag beeinträchtigt. Zwei gekoppelte Loks waren um 1.27 Uhr auf einen haltenden Güterzug aufgefahren. Die vordere Lok hatte sich mit rund 40 km-h unter den letzten Hänger des Güterzuges geschoben und diesen bis an die Fahrleitung geschoben. Die Lok entgleiste. Der entstandene Schaden wird von der Reichsbahndirektion auf 150.000 DM geschätzt. Nach Auskunft der Reichsbahn liegt menschliches Versagen des Lokführers vor, der "gültige Signalanlagen nicht beachtet" habe. ADN-Bernd Settnik" |
