For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.  Berlin, Sinti und Roma-Kinder
Zigeunerplage in Berlin. Die Zigeuner, die im Sommer als Pferdehändler, Kammerjäger u.s.w. durch das Land ziehen, haben im Norden Berlins ein Winterquartier, in dem sie sich nicht etwa wie dankbare Gäste benehmen, sondern zu einer wahren Plage werden. Die Fälle von Betrug, Diebstahl und Schlimmerem mehren sich derart, dass die Polizei den braunen Vagabunden immer grössere Aufmarksamkeit schenkt. Erfreulicher Nachwuchs. 1926 |
