For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Berlin, Möbelfabrik, Montage Zentralbild Krueger 25.3.1954 Massenbedarfsartikel aus dem RAW Schöneweide, Berlin Die Kollegen des Reichsbahnausbesserungswerkes Berlin-Schöneweida stellen zu 90 % aus Material, das bei der Reparatur von Reichsbahnwagen übrigbleibt, monatlich 700 Hocker, 1000 Fußbänke und insgesamt etwa 200 Kohlenkästen und 8000 Äxte her. Sie helfen damit, die Verordnung des Ministerrates-"Mehr und bessere Massenbedarfsgüter für die Bevölkerung"- zu verwirklichen. UBz: Die Werkhelferin Gerda Freund (DDR-Meisterin im Kanufahren) verputzt Hocker.
