Ein gesamtdeutsches Dichtertreffen wurde am 4.7.1954 im Festssaal des Palas auf der Wartburg bei Eisenach feierlich eröffnet. Etwa 120 Dichter und Schriftsteller aus beiden Teilen Deutschlands nahmen an den dreitägigen Beratungen teil, die unter dem Motto "Vom Brückenschlag des Wortes" stehen.

UBz: Der Direktor der Wartburg, Dr. Siegfried Asche, eröffnet im Festsaal des Palas der Wartburg die Tagung.
