For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Erxleben, Traktorist beim Pflügen Zentralbild TBD (Schmidt) 2410 Bae-Ho. 1208.A.V. 24.8.1954 21.8.1954 Zwischenfruchtanbau im Bezirk Erfurt Überall auf den Feldern der DDR ist sofort nach der Getreidemahd mit den Schälpflugarbeiten zur Vorbereitung des Zwischenfruchtanbaues begonnen worden, um eine ausreichende Versorgung mit Grünfutter im Frühjahr zu gewährleisten. UBz: Traktorist und Aktivist Harry Müller von der MTS Erxleben zieht die Schälfurche mit der IFA-Raupe 63, dem Sechs-Scharschälpflug und der angehängten Nortzon-Raupe.
