Hüttenarbeiter Zentralbild Sturm 10.11.1952 Str-Qu Das Eisenhüttenkombinat Ost ( Aufnahmen vom November ) 1952. Das Eisenhüttenkombinat Ost ist ein Schwerpunktbau in unserem Fünfjahrplan. Durch die Errichtung dieses Betriebes an der Oder-Neiße-Friedensgrenze kommt die tiefe Freundschaft zum Ausdruck, welche die Völker des Friedenslagers miteinander verbindet, denn in diesem Werk wird mit polnischer Kohle sowjetisches Erz für die deutsche Industrie verhüttet. Sowjetische Ingenieure Helfen unseren Technikern ständig beim Bau der Hochöfen. Im ersten sozialistischen Wettbewerb der metallurgischen Betriebes der Deutschen Demokratischen Republik errangen die Kumpel vom Hochofen II eine Höchstleistung. Bis zum 1.11.52 erfüllten sie ihr Wettbewerbsziel mit 100,05% und erzielten so mit einen Planvorsprung. Kumpel der Schicht Hartmann von Ofen II schlugen ihren Kollegen der anderen Brigaden des Ofens vor, jede Tonne Eisen, die sie über ihr Wettbewerbssoll hinaus produzieren, dem Ofen I zum Aufholen seines Finanzrückstandes zur Verfügung zu stellen.
