For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Stralsund, Goetheschule Zentralbild Klein. 10 Motive 10.2.1955 Städteaufbau in der Deutschen Demokratischen Repuplik 3. Folge: Aufbau in Stralsund Auch in der Werfstadt Stralsund sind in den letzten Jahren neue Wohnbauten emporgewachsen. Ein völlig neuer Stadtteil in der Tribaser Vorstadt entstanden. Die Städtebauer von Stralsund entwerfen bereits die Pläne für die Bauten des II. Fünfjahrplans. UBz: Die Goethe-Schule in Stralsund ist umgebaut worden. Während früher dort Rekruten gedrillt wurden lernen jetzt junge Menschen die Wissenschaften kennen. (Aufgenommen Anfang Februar 1955)
