Auszeichnung mit dem Vaterländischen Verdienstorden (zum 10. Jahrestag der Befreiung des deutschen Volkes von Faschismus durch die Sowjetarmee)
Am 7. Mai 1955 wurden im Maxim Gorki-Theater, Berlin, im Auftrage des Ministerrates der Deutschen Demokratischen Republik von den Vorsitzenden der Staatlichen Plankomission, Träger des Vaterländischen Verdienstordens in Gold, Bruno Leuschner, Bürger der Deutschen Demokratischen Republik ausgezeichnet, die sich ausserordentliche Verdienste im Kampf gegen Faschismus und beim Aufbau und der Festigung der DDR erworben haben.

UBz: Professor Dr. Robert Havemann, Direktor des Physikalisch-Chemischen Institus der Humboldt-Universität, Berlin, wird von Bruno Leuschner mit dem Vaterländischen Verdienstorden in Silber ausgezeichnet.
