22.11.1955
Erste Generale ernannt

English: GFR, Bonn, Ermekeil-barracks, 1955, Defence-Minister Theodor Blank, during the speech at the appointment-ceremony for the first 101 volunteers for the new west-german army. From GDR archives. Original caption reads: First generals nominated. During the foreign ministers conference in Geneva, the revenge-politicians from Bonn already speeded up the deployment of the westgerman mercenary-army. Right now they request a new issue of the cold-war and make preparations to turn it into a hot one. The first 101 officers as cadre of the future army have been officially nominated on 12th November 1955 by minister of war Theodor Blank. Minister of war Blank speaks to former fascist officers, which have been appointed as cadre for the new army. Over Blank boasts the iron cross, once donated as medal for extraordinary bravery in the independence wars, it shall now be again misused as in the past wars. It should be a warning to Mr. Blank, that he as well is one of those knights of the east who did march into defeat under this emblem.
