Zentralbild Quasch. 25.5.1956 Verleihung des Heinrich-Mann-Preises 1956. Die feierliche Verleihung des Heinrich-Mann-Preises 1956 erfolgte am 27.3.1956, dem 85. Geburtstag Heinrich Manns, der 1950 fern seiner deutschen Heimat gestorbenen großen literarischen Vorkämpfers einer demokratischen Erneuerung Deutschlands, in der Deutschen Akademie der Künste zu Berlin. Der Preis wurde verliehen an den Schriftsteller Franz Fühmann, für seine Dichtung "Die Fahrt nach Stalingrad", den Schriftsteller Wolfgang Schreier für seinen Roman "Unternehmen Thunderstrom" und an den Schriftsteller Rudolf Fischer für seinen Roman "Martin Roop IV". Akademiemitglied Professor Dr. h.c. Ludwig Renn verlas die Begründung für die Verleihung und überreichte den Ausgezeichneten die Urkunden. (Näheres siehe ADN bpm 27.3.1956). UBz. Professor Dr. h.c. Ludwig Renn (rechts) überreicht dem Schriftsteller Franz Fühmann die Urkunde.
