For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
LPG Wachow, Maislege Zentralbild SKGK 6 B legt Mais im Quadrat Im MTS-Bereich Wachow, Kreis Nauen, wird in diesem Jahre auf einer Fläche von etwa 360 ha Mais angebaut. Durch die großzügige Hilfe der Sowjetunion wurden unserer Republik Maschinen für die Maisaussaat im Quadratverband neuesten Typs übergeben, davon befindet sich auch eins auf der MTS Wachow. Die Arbeitsbreie der SKGK 6 B beträgt 3, 6 Meter, der Reihenabstand 60 cm und der Abstand in der Reihe 62, 5 cm. Die Drillkapazität ist ungefähr 6 ha in acht Stunden. UBz: Traktorist Helmut Hahn und die Geonossenschaftsbauern Ernst Hempe und Bruno Warenschutz von der LPG Wachow bei der Arbeit mit der sowjetischen Mais-Drillmaschine. Der größte Vorteil der Maschine liegt in der Vereinfachung des Versetzen des Knotendrahtes. Da das Versetzen des Drahtes nur an einem Feldende durchgeführt zu werden braucht, wird dieser Arbeitsvorgang unkomplizierter.
